A Tamás, a macska a „Felszabadult maszkok”, régi nevén Final Show macskasziluett-sorozat része, amelyben a macska karakterének esszenciáját igyekeztem megragadni, erről itt olvashatsz bővebben. A kép ihletője Tamás macska, aki egy nagyon beteg FeLV+ cicája volt a Czapáry Macskaház Alapítványnak és három évet tudtunk neki adni szeretetben és törődésben.
Először a macskát megrajzoltam, majd külön a sziluettjét, ezután kivágtam, és monotípia eljárással nyomatokat készítettem belőle. Ez a folyamat inspirált arra, hogy linometszet nyomatként is elkészítsem. Az eredeti sorozatnak hét darabja van, az erről készített videót itt nézheted meg.

Tamás the Cat is part of the „Liberated Masks,” formerly known as the Final Show cat silhouette series, where I aimed to capture the essence of the cat’s character—read more about it here. The inspiration for this piece was Tamás, a very sick FeLV+ cat from the Czapáry Cat House Foundation, who spent three years with us in love and care.
I first drew the cat, then separately worked on its silhouette, cutting it out, and created monotypes from it. This process inspired me to create it as a linocut print. The original series consists of seven pieces, and you can watch the video about it here.
